How do I get a more natural voice?

Open Settings > Accessibility > Read & Speak (Spoken Content on iOS 17 and 18) > Voices > English and download Ava (Premium) or Zoe. Then, in the app, choose it under For grown-ups > Voice.

How do I reach the grown-ups area?

Tap the lock icon on the home screen and answer the multiplication question.

How do I reset progress?

Open For grown-ups and tap Clear all progress, then confirm. Deleting the app also removes its progress.

Does it work offline?

Yes, fully. AlphaExplorer makes no network requests.

Why does the stroke order differ from my child’s school?

Schools teach letter strokes a little differently. Follow your child’s teacher if theirs differs.

Why is there no sound?

AlphaExplorer follows the ring/silent switch and the volume buttons. Switch off silent mode and turn the volume up. Reminders can be turned off under For grown-ups > Settings.
