Overview

Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using the Family Budget App mobile application operated by Elias Shammo Partners LLC.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the App, you confirm that: you are at least 13 years of age; you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms; you will comply with these Terms and all applicable laws; you consent to data collection as described in our Privacy Policy.

2. Description of Service

Family Budget App is a personal finance management tool that provides: income and expense tracking; budget creation and monitoring; spending analytics and insights; family budget sharing; receipt scanning (OCR); AI-powered savings recommendations; recurring transaction management; bank statement import (CSV upload and paper statement scanning); automatic subscription detection from transaction history.

2a. Premium Subscription and Payments

The App is free to use within the Free plan's limits (1 member, 30 transactions a month, 3 active budgets and 5 AI receipt or statement scans a month). Premium removes those limits for the whole family: up to 15 members, unlimited transactions and budgets, and 100 AI scans a month.

Price and length: Premium is an auto-renewable subscription, billed every month (US$6.99) or every year (US$59.99) through your Apple ID. Prices outside the United States are shown in the App Store, in your local currency, before you buy, and may include local taxes.

Payment: payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.

Automatic renewal: the subscription renews automatically for the same length and price unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends. If the price changes, Apple tells you before the change applies.

Cancelling: manage or cancel in Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on your iPhone, or at https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Premium stays on until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting your account or the App does not cancel the subscription.

Refunds: purchases are made with Apple, and Apple handles refund requests (https://reportaproblem.apple.com). If Apple refunds a purchase, Premium ends for the family.

One family: a subscription is bought for the family you belong to when you buy it, and covers every member of that family.

End User License Agreement: your use of the App is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/). If these Terms and that agreement conflict about an App Store purchase, Apple's agreement applies.

3. Account Types

Admin Accounts: created with email/password, with full access to all features including creating budgets and inviting family members.

Family Member Accounts: created by Admins using Member ID + PIN. These have limited functionality and should only be used by trusted family members.

4. User Conduct

You agree NOT to: use the App for any illegal purpose; upload false or fraudulent financial information; attempt to access other users' accounts; reverse engineer or disassemble the App; share invite codes with unauthorized individuals.

5. Financial Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: Family Budget App is a tracking tool only. We are NOT a bank, financial institution, or financial advisor. We do not hold, manage, or have access to your actual money. The App helps you record and track financial information for personal budgeting purposes only.

6. AI Features Disclaimer

AI-generated insights are for informational purposes only and do NOT constitute financial advice.

AI recommendations may contain errors or be inappropriate for your situation. Always review AI suggestions critically and consult qualified professionals for financial decisions.

6a. Subscription Detection Disclaimer

Automatic subscription detection is provided for convenience only.

The App analyzes your transaction history to identify potential recurring payments. Detected subscriptions may be incomplete, inaccurate, or include false positives. You are responsible for reviewing and confirming detected subscriptions. The App does not cancel, modify, or manage actual subscriptions with merchants.

6b. Bank Statement Import Disclaimer

When importing bank statements (CSV or scanned images), accuracy depends on the quality and format of the source data. OCR processing of paper statements may contain errors. You should verify all imported transactions for accuracy. We do not connect directly to your bank accounts.

7. Data Accuracy

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of all data you enter. We do not verify or audit your financial information.

8. Third-Party Services

The App uses Microsoft Azure (database, file storage, hosting, and OCR) and Sentry (error tracking). Your use constitutes acceptance of their respective terms.

9. Intellectual Property

The App and its content are owned by Elias Shammo Partners LLC. You receive a limited, non-exclusive license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

10. Limitation of Liability

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any financial losses resulting from your use of the App.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the App settings or by emailing us. We may terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States.
